I'm kind of wondering if I should try some decaf from Starbucks. I only get Starbucks as a treat (budgetary concerns), but they're straight-up coffee is way too caffeinated.
I totally cut caffeine about 4 years ago, when my wife got pregnant the first time. Just switched the morning pot from regular to decaf. After a few months I was totally detoxed, and then when I had a regular coffee it felt like the first time I drank coffee in college: massive speedy high, then a few hours later a thrumming headache and crash. That is when I realized what a serious drug is the big C. Now I only use it sparingly, when absolutely necessary.
