dinner...success!

Another reception this evening, with finger foods. This time I did well: loaded up on raw veggie sticks by the handful, a few dainty meatballs and several scallop-on-toothpicks for protein. As Jen says, I always gets me some interesting proteins. That's the key to rounding out a veggie-centric meal: don't use carbs as filler, use various proteins. Key is to mix up textures. Seafood is always a top choice. Got the weekly delivery of groceries yesterday and was pleasantly surprised to remember that I ordered a whole bunch of canned tuna, scallops, and crab meat. Simple and delicious: pop open a can, don't even have to weight it because it's a set 80g, drain and dump into a pile of veggies. Maybe top with a dash of spicy rayu or some furikake or something.
And now, off to the dojo!
